What Greater New York Region, AACA is about
First Thursday of each month, 8:00 PM, American Legion Post 144, Willis Avenue, Williston Park
Antique car enthusiasts formed the region in October 1960 to cover New York City and western Long Island.
Its founders had been turned down by another national organization in 1958 on geographic grounds before AACA granted a charter.
Yearly membership is about 200, counting joint members.
It marked 50 years as an AACA region in 2010.
Annual GNYR dues are $20, and you do not need to own an antique vehicle to join.
