California car meet questions
How does a cruise night differ from a car show?
A cruise night is casual: owners park, people walk the rows and there is usually no judging and no fee. A car show has registration, classes and trophies.
What happens at a California Cars and Coffee?
Owners gather early on a weekend morning in a parking lot near a coffee shop, chat for a couple of hours and leave quietly. 42 of the California meets here are coffee meets.
How do you work out the next date of each meet?
From the rule the organizer publishes, such as every Saturday or the third Sunday, plus any season it states.
Do California meets run in winter?
Most do, since the weather allows it. 67 of the 70 meets list no off season; a few cruise nights run only from spring to early fall.
Is my car welcome at these meets?
At almost all of them. A few club meets are for one make; the row description says so when that applies.
What are the rules at California car meets?
No burnouts, no revving, no speeding out of the lot. Several long-running meets have been shut down by property owners after bad behavior.
Where are most of the meets?
Southern California, led by Los Angeles and Orange counties, then the East Bay and Sacramento area.
How do I add a recurring meet?
Use the form at the end of this page and give the rule, for example every Friday night or the first Sunday of the month.

Know a car show that is not listed?
Send it here with a link to the organizer’s event page, flyer or schedule. Weekly and monthly ones only need to go in once. If that page shows the name and the date (or the day of the week), it goes on this page right away. If not, we check it by hand within a week.
We keep what you send so we can check the event. Your email is never published.
